The tonnage for each dumpster is listed above, alongside the pricing. Keep in mind that there will be an overage charge of $30 per 1/4 ton over, plus tax. It’s important to have a good idea of what types of debris are the heaviest. Concrete and asphalt will be among the heaviest types of material. Other examples of heavy debris includes asphalt and slate shingles, gravel, crushed stone, red clay bricks, and earth. Light debris includes un-compacted wood, un-compacted metal (such as metal siding), general household junk, yard waste (grass clippings, leaves, brush), and drywall.

Which dumpster is the right size for me?

When embarking on a kitchen or bath remodeling project, it can be difficult to predict what size dumpster you will need for your debris. These projects tend to produce a massive amount of debris that could easily exceed the limits of a small dumpster. To avoid overage charges, we recommend choosing a 30 or 40-yard dumpster for your demolition. However, if you’re taking on a smaller project—such as landscaping—then a 15 or 20-yard dumpster would probably be large enough to contain your debris.
